Batteriemessung via spektraler Impedanzspektroskopie

Innovative, intelligent and universal battery measuring technology

BRS Messtechnik GmbH is an expert in battery measurement technology. Batteries and battery systems can be tested quickly and efficiently with our compact battery testers, independent of the battery technology.

Our instruments are universal tools for professional battery users and enable:

  • standard battery tests (voltage, internal resistance, capacity)
  • battery analysis(comparison, trends, modeling)
  • diagnosis (state of charge, state of health, integrity)
  • recording of ambient conditions (temperature)

They are used for testing cells and modules in

  • development for suitability analyses
  • production for quality control in incoming and final inspections
  • reuse for determination of aging trends
  • service for battery diagnostics (SoC, SoH)

Our offer includes:

  • Professional battery measurement equipment and test systems
  • Development of customized measurement technology
  • Consulting and engineering for battery measurement technology

Special features of our products

1. Innovative

Integrated Modeling / Offline Analysis

The integrated fully automatic calculation of the model parameters allows an easy evaluation of the spectral measurement.

The Nyquist plot is approximated as an equivalent circuit according to Randles with only 3 essential parameters. This makes it easier to evaluate trends, analyze aging processes and display AC and DC internal resistances.

Easy evaluation of the spectral measurement

2. Fast

Quality Assessment with 3 Parameters in 0.4 Seconds

The usual AC-test at 1kHz yields limited information: it only shows the influence of the electrolyte. With a second frequency of 10Hz, also effects of the electrodes can be seen.

Our unique 3-parameter test measures the AC resistance at 1kHz and the DC resistance at 10Hz.

Together with the battery voltage, changes in battery properties, i.e. through storage or aging, are identified more reliably.

Fast: 3 parameters in 0.4 seconds

3. Easy

Intuitive Operation

What was available only in expensive lab equipment, BRS has implemented and made affordable in the form of compact measurement instruments.

The instruments are operated with a simple, easy-to-use graphical user interface for PC, the results can be exported in ASCII or CSV format for further analysis.

For integration into production lines the instruments can be remote controlled by a simple communication protocol.
